Default electrical problem, brake lights activate the headlghts

ok got the car due for rego on the 10th, now i was going over the car and noticed that when i put my foot on the brakes the headlights go on. when the headlights go on the stop lights go on.

i dont want to look for crossed wires yet, could it be a rusty bulb holder or something easy?

Check that you have the right type of globes in each brake light holder.

ok fixed the drivers side harness is just old and dirty, so it was touching the other side of the bulb when either one was used.
