Themo fan trouble

Hey, I've got a vn commo calais and any time she over heats, the thermo fan doesn't work. It turns on and then off again straight away, when hooking up a car battery to it to test if it works and it does fine. It appears something’s shorting it out or playing up with it to turn it off, I was wondering if anyone else has had this sort of problem before?

Replace the relay (in the box just in front of the RH shock tower) and see what happens. The relay is an electrically operated switch and it sounds like it isn't staying on. If you are in Melb (SE suburbs) I have a heap of them if it helps.

Yep. I'd swap another one first just to be sure it is the relay though.
