there are quite a few ways, most of which will probably get me banned for saying them. rear quarter panel window if all else fails. otherwise if you have a few spare hours it is possible to hook a coathanger inside the window and pull up the lock.
Call the RACV and make your family member pay for it![]()

All i did was lever the side of window fame open a bit with a screw driver, then bent coat hanger right shape and after screwing around with it for 5 mins i unlocked it.
Australia. Love it or leave it
I did something similar a while ago but had the car running, i just got a screwdriver and popped the boot lock and got in thru the boot.
BINGO.....
I use one small screw driver to pry the window out enough to fit a bigger screw driver, to pry it out further (those windws can flex a fair bit so dont stress), then an opened coat hanger with a slight hook on the end, hook the lock and pull up, also some blue tac on the end can stop it sliding off and help.
With a second person I can get into a VN within 30 seconds, But the funny thing is someone locked my keys in my paddock bomb (Daihatsu Charade) and it took me nearly 2 hours to get in
and I didnt give a **** if i broke anything.
They're also ridiculously easy to start up too if you know what you're doing. And stock alarm jobs are a waste of time. If you spend money on a VN/VP, spend it on a good alarm system first lol
haha thanks guys!.. the coat hanger thing didnt work it was shut tight, but i managed to break into my car anywayss before ive seen the replysss thanks for that thoughluckly the bonnet was open!!
vn/vp calais should have the 2 stage lock feature. including dead locking of every door.
So how DID you manage to do it? you can't really get into the cabin from the bonnet...
i did bro lmao.. if i say would i get banned? i dont wanna take the risk.
You probably wouldn't get banned, but I wouldn't go advertising it
Then again, everyone knows how to get into these things![]()

The deadlock essentially activates a little actuator inside the doors, which prevents the lock mechanism from completing movement toward the "unlock" position. In order to over-ride it without the key, you basically have to reach behind the door trim from INSIDE and break the actuator off.
I think.

I think the deadlock feature with the key wasn't until the VR/VS..
My VS had that feature and i hardley used it as you couldn't unlock it with the button..
It wasn't until the VT-VZ you could "deadlock" by pressing the lock button on your remote twice and be able to unlock with the remote also.
but with the VE ( i assume all models) there is no extra deadlock feature when you press the lock button the second time ( you used to hear the noise of it deadlocking) i wonder if it just deadlocks when you press the lock button once.....
