Default 1990 VN Berlina - What to do with it?

I bought a second car earlier this year. A 1990 VN Berlina sedan.

Myself and the other half have split up and I ended up letting her have it. She's now got herself her own car and giving the VN back to me.

I bought it for $1200 back in February, with rego on it until December (coming up). I'd like to gauge how much interest there would be in such a car for me to offload it as is.

I bought it back then with a full roadworthy. However it's developed an oil leak in the valley cover and cracks in the strut heads. There was also something about the rear suspension bushes being worn also. Must have been some roadworthy I got

It's got the usual paint fade on the roof and bonnet (roof is the worst). The sides however are immaculate as well as the interior. The engine was said to have been maintained quite well. Someone who looked at it recently said that the radiator looks newer than the car. There's also other parts in it that have the date they were installed written on them so it's been maintained at least.

Rego is about to expire and I have the standard three months until it's cancelled completely giving me that time to decide if I want to renew it. So what does everyone reckon I should do? Slowly fix it and sell, or just chuck it out as is? I really don't want it sitting in my yard for too long.

I've thought about wrecking it and disposing of it piece by piece but then I'll end up with half a car laying around which is probably worst.

i would sell it as-is. after the repairs to get it back up to road standards + rego youd never get your money back on it anyway.

use it to do some ram raids.

seriously though itd be easier tosell the whole car then piece by piece, theres bound to be someone that will want it, even if you sell as is you could get 1k

well i would try to get 1k for for it then slowly drop the price till you get to about 5-600.
here in north qld you would get the 1200 for it due to it being a berlina.
