Hi again Guys,
I have a problem with my wheels squeaking and chirping on my VP Lexcen, it gets worse as i go faster, but I've found it disappears when i brake.
I believe it's the front right brake being silly, but i don't have any pull (either left or right).
Also i jacked up the car yesterday and found that both front wheels don't spin freely, even with the handbrake off they turn but have a lot of resistance from the brakes. Should this be happening?
Cheers,
Voney
um no they are supposed to spin.
have a good look at pad thikness and rotor wear grooving.
if there is a lot of either of them then replace worn parts and see if that works.
if that does not fix it then you have a brake caliper issue and would be after reco calipers.
ps the hand brake is not overly tight is it?
I would have said bearings but if it disapeers when you brake i would say ur pad is touching the disk making it squeek. try some brake cleaner on them.
the pads do touch a bit on the front. its normal
