split cable

OK another problem im running 2 6x9's off a sony xplod 222w amp and the power cable from my batt has a split in it some where what would be the easyest and cheapest way for me to replace the whole cable or to locate the split and fix it

To locate the split you will need to pull the whole cable out anyway , why do you think it has a split, is it blowing fuses?

yeah its blowing every fuse i put into my amp, i went to strathfield car audio and they said it was a split and its 100 to get it rewired and i dnt have the money could it b something else???

Is the fuse at the amp end or the battery end?

fuse at the amp i replaced the battery end 1 and its ok but its the amp fuse

sounds like that
it should blow at the other end if the whole cable is shorting out
