How about my VN for the VL comes with a motor ready to swap and good interior etc. Good everything except a dodgy faded paint

But luckily that chassis' are the same, so the K-Frame is a bolt-on if I'm not mistaken.

    sure is,

the exhaust may require slight modification, nothing major though, youll need to chnage over ecu and wiring loom also.

I may be sounding ignorant, but wouldn't a RB30E be a massive downgrade in power compared to the buick (unless you rebuild/turbo/massive it)

Yes, I'd personally replace it with a new Buick and work that.

The RB30 is a potential engine, though.

from what i remember luke telling me, the VN exhaust bolted right up to the VL motor. catback of course.

no point doing the conversion unless you planning on putting a turbo on it

yeah man if it's not going to be turbo then don't even bother - it'll be slower than vb/vc commodores

if you're super keen on the conversion regardless and got an 80,000km VL - sell it to jason and use the cash to buy a 200 dollar crashed one and a turbo conversion

You could probably make a nice profit selling it to Jase, then buying a cheaper rear-end writeoff or rollover. Don't cut up an 80,000 VL They're so hard to come by in good nick!

mate the most powerfull v6 i have seen came from the dump and cost a whole $60 and bolted straigh in.
Now this is a stock v6 that chirps into 2nd when ever foot down, with good tyres and dry roads.
dragged off vr ss v8's. blows lancers away to.

Exhaust needs no mods, it bolts straight up to the rb30 headers, since that's what it was designed to do , the V6's Y pieace was a last minute job to make it work

yeaa guys haha the motor has actually done 60,650!! i wouldnt be putting it in the vn if i wasnt turbo'ing it, but in that case, use are right i had a think about it this afternoon, no point stripping up a car like that!! all i can say that it needs is.. powersteering lines are leaking pump was perfect 2days ago(i did not wreck it the guy i brought it off did ) needs the console part where the hand brake is, front bumper is broken and a chip on the rear.. its like the guy tried drifting and broke the plastic or sumthing :|.. and rear seats they have rips and burns.. over all the motor is perfect its pretty fast and response very good when its on PWR.. transmission doesnt lagg shifts perfectly... i might aswell fix what i added and sell it and buy me a some low k vr motor!!

sure its the right number of k's? sounds likes its been abused and may only be good as a donor engine for your vn then
