Looking at buying a cam for my 89' vn stock v6, what would be the biggest cam i could run, I don't care if it barely idles, just some better performance and lumpyness. i do plan on putting bigger injectors and a better fuel pump maybe?
if I get the bottom one (from the top table in the pdf) do I _have_ to do engine work for it to actually "fit/work/blag blah" ? - it just sounds like I HAVE to have engine work to run that cam?
it is overkill, but i don't care, you don't start to learn until you do the wrong thing

I'm not sure buddy.... But I know a stage 3 can kill a buick.
That looks like a Crow stage 3, it's only a little cam really, should go straight in
For some reason i dont like crow cams, every1 that have had them in there car said that they are crap. get a custom grind wade 992a cam and some head work. $200 for the custom grind, i have 2 stock cams in my shed.

wade 1114a![]()
yeh stay away from crow cams. there pretty rubbish
stuff that then :P i always hear about v6's with 992a's but does anyone have info on the 1114a but? (just curious, no intention to do anything with the info)
what roughly would a 6 with that cam run 0-100? (besides the point you would need a high stall and more compression?)
The 1114a is the premium V6 street cam, but the 992 is pretty good and it's muuuch cheaper since blank cams for V6s are very expensive and the 992 cam be ground off a used stocker, you will lose a little down low on both, but can make 130 rwkw with the 992 more on the 1114a
0-100 would be probably slower than stock however: )
well that's fail lol
Well it's possible to get a grind made especailly for the early V6 that fits onto the stock cam but I don't know how much Wade charge for a custom grind to be made up
that cam that you have specified is pretty small.
I agree with these guys^^^ most automatically assume "Crow stage 3" is a huge cam.. not so, for the money outlay you will gain very little.
Do some research before committing to buying a cam. Personally, i wouldn't get a reground cam.
Hit me up with some reputation points if i've helped you out! (Star in the bottom left!) Cheers!

for the price you pay for a reground cam and a foam chip its money you have saved insted of paying around a grand for something with the same power outputs. when you do a cam you might aswell up the comp and port and polish the heads.
And this is for a VN V6 you dont want to pay out the ass for something that wont give you alot of power its different with a squeekotech

damn it shows i know sfa. about engines!
yeah i am looking out for the biggest non custom cam? to fit my engine
looks like that cam is a base grind for a f/i car. i beleive this is the camshaft v6 vengance used.
Cams for boost usually run the split the other way around. Na cams usually run small intake duration big exhaust like this one
