Default Adjustable panhard rod - how?????

    With the adjustable panhard rod,

What side goes on the part that needs lifting? The side with the turn able Knut/thread or the blank side

And how does it lift it higher by going outwards?

an adjustable panhard rod is used to centralize the axle on a lowered vehicle.

it can probably be fitted around either way, assuming the adjustment clears everything.

    what?

it doesn't lift anything, it moves the axle so its central.

it can probably be fitted either way, but I don't actually know the car.

the kink in the panhard rod goes on the passenger side, its kicned to give extra clearance of the exhaust, being that the car is lower.

stick the back end of the car on ramps with the panhard rod on the car

turn the turnbuckle one way, you will see the car move. if you can see the wheel move away from where its scraping, center it as best you can and lock the nuts up, if its getting closer, turn the turnbuckle the other way. failing that, take it to a mechanic.

when you lower a car, the rear axle moves as the panhard rod is too long.

to fix this, you need to fit a shorter, or adjustable panhard rod to move the axle back into the centre.

Technically its the body that is shifted across..the diff stays on the ground.

If its scrubbing on drivers side = shorten panhard rod

If its scrubbing on passengers side = lengthen panhard rod

I don't thnk you would ever need a longer panhard rod with a lower car. And remember when fitting it the car can't be raised. Or atleast not when u judge the adjustment. U have to plonk the car on it's wheels to check the body movement
