hey i was just wondering if anyone could help me out, ive got a vp wagon, wanted to try a bit of a performance pickup and was told by changing the injectors i might get it ? well ive got a vn 5 litre in my shed so i ripped out 6 injectors and they were marked 280 150 960, then the ones in my wagon are marked 280 150 917. i just want to know the flow rates and if it would do any harm changing them over or am i better to leave them ? thanks
Well they run the same flow rate as a V6 so 960s are 18.25flow and the VN is 901s and they are 18.55, i'm just looking up the other ones you have mentioned and they are 18.25 lol so there is no gain there what so ever just alot of stuffing around for nothing, plus the injectors wont change anything anyway, Get the basic set ups like CAI, Exhaust, Extractors, Tune, Manual or shift kit, then Cam, Headwork, or turbo or supercharger the list goes on, why not drop the 5L in it its sitting there doing nothing

yer well thats what was planned, just gonna take some time to get the help to get it in.i got the complete car ya see so i really gotta pull two motors out n put 1 back in.so no gain no loss thats cool.gotta replace the exhaust, waglo doesnt seem to like speed bumps and tends to rip off exhaust parts. how much stuffin around is it to do a motor swap on your own then ?
By yourself? abit of stuffing around i have pulled my motor out 2-3times always helps to have that extra hand, Go for the 5L conversion that would be good, with the 6 pull the motor and box out at the same time, i'm not to sure on 5L conversions but you will need K frame exhaust all the goodies and thats on the other car so its all go, just start pulling the things off the 5l that you need and rep the 6 out and go for it lol
