    Default who's to blame?

my brother got his engine mounts in his 5ltr replaced about 6 months ago and now the part of the mount that bolts to the engine part(there are 3 bolts) are all off.

looks like one bolt has come loose and fallen off and the other 2 have weakn'd and actually snapped off, now does he have the right to go blast the mechanic about it or what?

yea id definitly go back and sort it out with the mech, was there any damage to the engine? Did he notice anything before the bolts snapped off, maybe like THE ENGINE IS MOVING AROUND?

I'de see the mechanic, and see how ya go. Its a bit of a grey area after 6 months. If they do it, then great as they suck arse to pull out. If not then get some new bolts and take the mount out and pull the leftover bolts out and bolt it all up nice yourself, atleast you know its a good job then.

yeah it would be a close one.
while the parts carry a garranty i dought the bolts were replaced.
all they would have to ay is it's metal fatigue and we did not undo them, then you would not have a leg to stand on.
