Misfiring/backfiring etc

Help Help Help....Vp Berlina......missing and farting round...........

Starts immediately runs smoothly........and if you take off gently, no problem.will get to any speed you like..........BUT when you put your foot down to overtake etc... it backfires and misses and no power........ if you ease up it is fine got new leads and plugs got a new Coil pack sitting here but the resistance on the old ones and the new onw are identical.........anyone got any Idea I would be most gratefyl.

i take it you have a v6 vp commodore mate:..

backfiring

try checking plug gap, leads youve done , coilpack and dfi module (coilpack sits on DFI module) make sure all the wires are all plugged in good etc - but may still be faulty

Coil pack. Resistance can measure up good and still be stuffed. you might be able to work out which one is dead by checkin in the dark for sparks.

Thanks guys will have a look at changing coil pack 1 at a time and check the dfi while I'm at it.

mine starts and runs smooth as when cold, once warm she pops and grumbles on idle. It happens in a repeated pattern every 10-15 seconds on idle.

Hi Guys well swapped a new coil pack round all three positions and three coils. No improvement......how can I have the DFI....checked.....
starts well Idles well runs up to speed quietly but when you boot it it starts all this missing and backfiring.
I've done fuel pump...Plugs....Leads....Coils.......
any more Ideas guys

crank angle sensor? dfi module? check for code 47 with a paperclip, read up on how to pull ur codes.
