    Default Petrol cable problems

    Well for a little while now my petrol cable (the cable that opens the petrol spout cover) has been longer than what it should be. I can open it if i flick the switch from in the boot but looking at the cord it looks like it it about 4cm longer than what it should be...

    For now I have just been flicking the switch from inside the boot, but its gotten quite annoying. Apart from sticking a metal clip in the end of the wire to stop it sooner, is there some other way that it can be "adjusted"?

    Tie some knots in it mate, that'll sort it out. My throttle cable was too long, so I tied a knot in that. You can't go wrong with knots - guaranteed way to make anything shorter.

    I'm not kidding either, you can see the knot in my throttle cable, near the spindle, in this pic:
