any suggestions on vp faults???

hey all...im new to this thread so dont know if these faults hav been covered. Jus bought myself a cheap vp calais 5.0l..with it came these problems:
1. Elec window on rhs back door not working..both swith not working so im guessing mtor..which ahould b easy..
2. Central locking dicky..i dont hav a remote for it but whn turning manually only unlocks rhs driver and passenger door. And only locks driver rhs door..??
3. Factory immoboliser?? had a problwm when i unlocked door went to start it..didnt want to know the red light on security jus kept flicking..had to get out lock the door and unlock couple times to get it to work!!!
4. On my cluster several problms...speedo gauge fluctuates around never stays on spped ur doing, temp gauge doesnt seem to work( maybe sensor but dont know where o wat sensor), fuel gauge need to giv it a tap so it reads, and on the fuel guage side the led lights are faded..maybe need new ones.

i think thats it..still drivable but really annoying plz help!! Will be buying workshop manual soon so hopefully can get everything working.

Does anyone know a good remote alarm/central locking system thats wasy to install??

1. Elec window: Yep, it's the motor. Easy to change
2/3. Central locking/Immobiliser: Sounds like it would be easier to get a proper alarm/immobiliser installed with four new central locking actuators.
4. Cluster: Sounds like your old cluster is getting a bit dicky May be worth picking another one off from a wreckers, or eBay. One problem can be fixed easily, but with so many in the one cluster, it's probably worth throwing away before more stuff goes wrong.

does anyone know if a vr calais cluster could be fitted to the vp calais?? they look exactly the same and seem to have the same functions??

It'll never work. You can't cross-breed clusters between VN/VP and VR/VS

Behind the alternator. The one for the dash, is the one with one wire.
