VN V6 S1 Heater Tap

Hiya guys, I'm fitting a VNS1 v6 into a 2wd hilux ute and would like some advise about the heater tap, The Vn has a 4 port tap and the Hilux a 2 port. If I used the hilux tap would this cause heating issues with the motor. I cant connect the 4 port to the toyota controls. Any ideas would be much appreciated...Cheers

mate you got a series 1 so you will have issues.
later vn has the same engine up to vr wfile s1 vn was only a few years.
Just make sure the water flow is the same.

Using the hilux tap shouldn't cause overheating issues at all. Remember, when the heater is off, the tap should be shut... so really, the engine will run FINE without any fluid flow through there at all. As long as water is getting out of the thermostat, through the radiator, you'll have no dramas at all.

Just make sure you get water flowing through the tap in the correct direction, that's all hehe

i'm assuming since you asked this that you are also fitting the vn cooling system? if so you will need the 4 port tap as it has water flowing through it even in the closed position i'm pretty sure. theres a hose from the water pump directly to it, then out to the bottle i'm pretty sure.
