Bolt size advise please
Can someone please tell me the size and length [metric or SAE] of the bolts that hold the auto transmission mount to the gearbox crossmember on my VP Senator as both bolts are missing. Also is this mount metal to metal or should there be something inbetween. Thanks.
nothing between and i think about 8mm metric.
But there are 2 different types of mount the 2 bolt ones and the 4 bolts ones.
just get 4 of each 8, 10 and 12mm to make sure.
grade 8 would be my choice to.
Cheers Centy, Gave this some thought myself but was not sure of diameter or length of bolts also the risk of stripping the thread in the mounting if it was not the correct thread or thread pitch.. So I had to order them as Tony Ireland Holden and Eagers here could not tell me the size. Guess the originals fell out. Thanks blokes and all the best for the New Year.
The parts came and they are actually a screw that needs a 8mm allen key, looks like 10mm diameter with 1mm pitch.
