Drama is the water hoses that attach to the overflow bottle need to go somewhere..rest should be easy.

would be alot easier to get another bottle or to fiberglass up the old one

the dramas i had with changing the series one radiator was the s1 is a higher pressure system and it kept ****ing out of the top of the radiator cap on the s2 radiator. and changing the hoses that go to the bottom on the s1 overflow bottle would become quite messy

I have in the 19 years of owning car replaced that bottle ... cost me $200 for new one and guess what its got fractures in it after 4 years .. but there is a good thing .. they always crack in same place ...

if you good with a soldering iron you can plastic weld it ... a friend told me this ..

if you REALLY want to do this mod and do it properly you'd have to change the whole manifold to a s2 or vp manifold with the thermostat on the front not the back. Also you will nead a s2/vp heater tap and hoses that go to the firewall. If you just switched the overflow bottle and radiator you would have a hose that has nothing to connect to

Thumbs up vns2 radiator onto vn s1 engine

i just done this mod to my vn, put the s2 radiator in front of my s1 engine, i simply went to an engineer and got him to make me up a lipped t-piece that mounts into your top radiator hose, which you then plug the airlock hose that goes into the side of your s1 radiator, i then got him to make me another t piece, but this one to fit the smaller hose which you joined before, you then run the top hose from your pressure tank into this t piece and join in near the first connection you made and then block off the bottom hose as it is only a return hose. now simply unbolt the old pressure tank and washer bottle and put the s2 overflow and washer in, then join to radiator overflow. the only bad thing this means that you have to have an ugly joint in it so i done it as close to the intake manifold as possible. after i done this i put a hi flow thermostat in. it has been in for one month and i have had no temperature problems, fluid loss, leaks or trouble of any kind. all up it took about half an hour to put together one i had the two fittings.
    hope this helps you.
