    Default VN 5.0L V8 - Starting Problems

    Hi Guys,

    First of all, thanks for all the help I've received here in the past!

    My son's VN starts OK, then after a few minutes the computer light comes on and it starts to idle rough. It will die out if the accelerator isn't pressed down to keep the rev's up and after a while it won't even start up. It then seems to need a day or two before it will fire up again.

    Do any of you have any ideas on what might be the problem?

    Have you checked the ECU for fault codes?

    How to obtain ECU error codes

    What those different codes mean on a VN V8
