Mine was doing the same thing. I opened up the throttle and sprayed it out with throttle cleaner. You should have seen how much built-up shit poured out. I went through 3 cans. I also did the EGR valve (took it apart and sprayed it). Do around your injectors as well (and if you can get them out give them a hit). If you can do the sensors on the exhaust, it would be good also.
Mine was sputtering also and after cleaning it, it is like a new car.

could be a dirty o2 sensor try some PULP !!!!!!!!!
