Later on in the year i will be converting my vn to a manual ecotec right.. and i have just realised teh hissing from the engine bay wasnt a vacuum hose.. but the aircon gas escaping
I was going to take it to a mechanic so they can find the leak and refill it as sydney weather is a killer this year in summer. Then i was thinking that i will eventually be converting to Climate control anyway (which will loose my gas), PLUS there might be a chance that to keep A/C with the ecotec conversion, i may need to transfer the AC piping from the ecotec donor car.
Basicalyl just wanted to know if i can go ahead and convert the VN to climate control now whilst also refilling the gas, without having to lose the gas once putting in the ecotec? OR should i just wait untill the ecotec is in then go for the climate control conversion?
The pump is in the same location so you shouldnt need to change anything i think it's going to be hard to do the engine swap without removing the pump you'd probably better off waiting tillyou do the conversion

Converting to climate control is a very very big job. Although im not 100% whats involved in it, looking at the looms, bcm and climate control unit itself it looks hard
the loom is different and it is easier to just change the whole box so you will loose the gas anyway
Bit late now that was January last year.
