OOOhhh yeh & guttless azzzzzzzzz?
is your car v6 or v8
v8 - could be rotor, dizzy cap , leads, spark plugs
Hi V6, ive changed the sparks! leads! All New. i noticed the fan is not working either? And there is a tapping to? i think that maybe the mainifold lefthand side, ummm why is it so gutless?
backfiring could be DFI module , coil packs, the fan is only a thermo fan so wont come on til its hot enough to come on - u can test by un plugging it and putting it straigh to your battery to make sure it actually works
I vote coil, happened to me on the VS - dead coil.
Is the lead on properly?
Tapping might be a dead cylinder.
Um that make sense? some wot, um can you give me a step by step guide 4 taking the coil off and testing it ummm yeh new to all this thnks. lol!!!
Have you checked that all the leads are on correctly?
hi there, yep all leads on properlyive just removed the coil pack and put it to the batt/now wotz ment to happen here sory lol!!!!!
hehehe.
you need a multi meter to test the coils. you can get em from dick smith on special from $10-$15 normally

Also check if your water in the top of your radiator has little oil looking bubbles. Just take the cap off and look. May also have a blown gasket.
had a look @ dat nah.... no bubble of oil there? thank goodness!!!!
Ill check in again 2moro guyz thanks

You don't *have* to use a multi meter.
Pull the plug out and see if its sparking...
Don't blow your self up though.
lol!!!!!!ill get my bro to do dat 1? hahaa
very rudementry, although it may indicate that the coil is creating a spark, it takes very little energy to create spark across even a decent size gap under normal atmospheric pressure which is not camparible with what is happening in the cylinder under normal running conditions. a better way to do this test would be to remove the lead from the plug in the cylinder and fit onto a spare plug with the gap opened up some. earth the plug against something of bare metal and then crank engine and see if you get a spark. much less likely to create a very sore hand
