hi im over in nz im got a 90 calais 3.8 turbo. i just got motor rebuilt as she blew when turbo kit went on the problem i have after i got the motor back im getting no oil in the heads iv got oil being pumped in to turbo. put a oil pressure gauge on it sat about 40. any help would be good as the that built it dont want to
maybe you need a high volume sump that holds more oil ? What grade oil are you using ?
He needs to check that the oil galleries aren't blocked.
Either that or try putting a restrictor in the turbo line.
the tubro line has a restrictor in it and the the shop that that built the motor said they acid dipped it and they have have the nerve to tell me that it was nothing they could of done to cause it to happen it didnt have that proble before.![]()
what makes you say that no oil is reaching the heads? are the lifter noisy? where are you measuring oil pressure? if the lifters aren't getting any oil then there is a blockage in the oil gallary somewhere. if the lifters are getting oil then the gallaries are fine and maybe the wrong style lifters have been fitted (reduced oil flow) or maybe restrictor push rods fitted that are normally fitted when you don't want excessive oil reaching the head like when you fit roller rockers.
does the engine have a warranty?

Have they adjusted the rockers?
It could be getting oil, but if the rockers aren't adjusted they'll be noisy as hell. Pull the rocker covers off and have a look.
