might sound silly mate, but are the thermos plugged in? not bein a silly bugger ay, it happened to me and somehow theyd come unplugged. if thats not it trace the wires coming out of it and see if one isnt plugged in or broken or something.

Check the ground wire from the ecu which should be BLUE & WHITE.

Im sure if you run a seperate ground wire from the blue & white at the relay, straight to the chassis, the thermos will work.

Ive have the same problem, checked all the wires but they buzzed out ok, but when I run a seperate ground straight from the relay to the chassis the fans seem to work ok, which suggests to me its a ecu ground switch problem.

Learning as I go and after installing a level 3 dash, I discovered Vns use ground switching in the ecu , which was a little bit confusing at first because to you get power where you need it but things still dont work properly.

EDIT: The ECu ground at the relay is terminal 85 I can send you a diagram just Pm me a email addy.

The above method will cause your fans to run all the time which isnt that good, as it will eventually melt either the fuse housing or the relay block.
