    Default LSD Diff

I dont know a lot about diffs.

What I do know is that i have a standard LSD from a VP commodore which was linked to an auto box.

Do you guys know what i will need to change because i will be running this diff off a manual box?

And where can i get higher ratio gears from. like 3.4* or somthing?

No changes need be made at all if you're just changing centers.

The most common, sensible final gear ratios are 3.45, 3.73 and 3.89, and you can either chase them yourself at wreckers (do your research into which gears come from which cars - skylines, pintaras, vl commodores, etc) or you can find them on ebay.

$550 - that was supplied too, right?

3.73s are probably the most expensive gears - they're rare as anything. I wanted 3.73s and had to wait FOREVER for a set of them to appear for sale

So if I asked you to sell me your 3.7s because I'm looking for a set of those shortly, you'd tell me to bugger off?

Can't get a hold of the 3.7s anymore.

It seems as if i can buy the set of 3.45/3.5 gears for $130. Is this worth just the gears guys? I can get a local shop to fit these gears to my LSD. Will I notice a major change with this set of ratios or should i not bother? Cause atm this LSD has standard ratios.
