    Default upgrading brakes?

well i have been thinking and i know that VN brakes are shit...espesially on me mums VN compared to my VS brakes.

i know allot of people are doing the VT brake upgrade on the VN but is it possible to put vr/vs brake booster, master cylinder and front calipers onto a vn? without too much mucking around. Although it may not improve allot its just that the brakes on my VS is 100 000time better then the vn. and i could probably get them cheap.

    cheers

VR-vs have basically the same brakes they just differ on how they bolt up. Vs probably has better brakes as it runs a slightly larger rotor. Best bet for a cheap upgrade is a 1 inch master cylinder and matching booster and v8 finned calipers and the 290mm rotors in slotted if you want to sdpend the extra. With some good pads new fluid properly bled and rebuilt calipers if you feel up to it your braking would improve by 200%

Most people complain about vn brakes but theyre not bad if everything is in tip top order most of the time new fluid and properly bled brakes will yeld good results

i agree, i don't actually think the brakes on the VS are that fantastic. the only benefit of the VS brakes is the "fast fill" style M/C they used. i think the VS booster is crap. just fit some VN/VP V8 brakes with 1" m/c as sugested and you basically have the same as the VS.

personally i think if your gonna spend cash on a upgrade the VT upgrade is better. you canget em fairly cheap there in aussie, coupled with late model booster and M/C it a big step up
