    Question Throttle Body Upgrade..

    G'day
im looking to upgrade my throttle body and was told a 5.7 throttle body would fit on a vp 5.0 ?
is that true ,if not what would you recommend ?
also would there be a noticeable power difference from this.
the motor is standard but i have cai ,upgraded exhaust and a tuned memcal if this info helps.
    thanks

mate just get a bored out job from ebay and then hook up a pod or panel filter to go with it.
the idea is that a bigger tb gives you faster response.

you can get a 70mm TB for the 5ltr. i think you also need to modify the neck in the manifold however to get real gains from it

If you buy a 70mm throttlebody you will then be restricted to the size of the elbow the throttlebody connects to, A bloke on ebay and mace engineering do both. They have 'bored out' versions of each. I know mace was selling a throttlebody and elbow with a tune to suit for 300 or so.

No worries ill definatly check it out.
this is probably gonna sound stupid but is the elbow actually welded to the manifold or bolted on ?
for $300.00 it's definatly around my price range ,thanks to a revenge seeking ex !!
    thanks for the info.

The neck on the banana is like 69mm at its smallest point so you only have to give it a quick touch up, Just make sure you seal off the inside before you start grinding and make sure you get all the cuttings out once your done (vaccum etc)
