Is she idling ok? Apart from that do you have a problem turning right? have you been driving a manual for very long? Sorry but I had to ask this. In all seriousness
ok that sounds very wierd, have you checked your leads ect. wouldn't explain why its when u turn left but mine kept stalling when I had a dogey lead
could be something to do with your power steering perhaps. avoid full lock when you turn right, as that puts heaps of strain on the power steering system, which could cause a stall if the engine is idling.
might also be somthing in your fuel tank,in my opion never trust BP fuelhad to drop the tank due to crappy fuel
Real cars don't power the front wheels, they lift them
i reckon its the little pump inside the tank that pumps fuel towards the fuel pump itself. Basically its job is to make sure that petrol is always surrounding the fuel pump when turning due to fuel surging around corners. Maybe the fuel pump is sitting on the right side of the tank and when turning right it makes all the fuel go to the left, stalling the car if this little pump isnt working.
Im not sure wat the little pump inside the tank is called but i know people have had the same problem with them when turning if they fail.
used to happen to me when i had low fuel. if its happening when you have more than 1/3rd full tank, then disregard this. otherwise, go fill up and try it.

Isn't the little pump inside the tank the only fuel pump?
( I think "buttload" is a corruption of "busload" )

yep its the in tank pump, usually the motor wont stall but will return to idle for a few seconds then pick up again.
This is the most common cause of fuel surge in VN-VS commodores i've come across. And it's amazing how many mechanics have no idea how to fix it. Or if they do, they want an arm and a leg for this fairly simple procedure.
Most just want to sell you another fuel pump. Which does little or nothing for the problem.
Either the flexible line splits as in this picture, or i have seen the little plastic squirter crack as well.
By far the easiest way (unless you have mini hands) to replace the line, is to cut a hole in the tank, and patch it afterwards.

I had this same problem it would do it with half a tank, turned out to be the fuel sender unit, i replaced fuel tank fuel pump filter fuel reg everything and still same thing then i replaced the sender unit with same pump and it was fine, also some people have problems with the swirl pot in the bottom of the tank but if you have half a tank this wont matter.

You might be having the problem i was having.
I couldnt start my car, and it would cut out mid drive and completely shut down.
Problem was the big wide black connector running into the DFI (Just under the ignition coils). Grab a 7mm socket, take it all off, give it a good clean with an air compressor and a decent brush, spray some WD40 or some other lubricant onto the pins, plug it in and out a few times to clean any dirt off the pins, tighten it all up,
And you should be dandy![]()
i rekon its power steering cause my vn manual does it aswell only right hand turns it sux thats y im buyin a recon power steering unit cause my seal has gone in it it leaks badly
Its a fuel problem, get the fuel pressure tested, i did and it would drop when going around corners.
