Default Detailed a VP Calais last night..

well not really a full detail, just a quick (and I do mean quick) paint polish.. Went from a very ordinary paint job to something really quite presentable

Reflects a lot better in person, I blame crappy lighting and a phone camera ;-)

Think you need to invest in a better camera so you can show off you skills better

Wagon_Wheel, you are absolutely right. I don't know the first thing about cameras though.. snapping photos off with the phone in my only free hand probably didn't help my cause either haha

Thanks guys, Haydz yeah I can easily spend a full day on the paintwork of a car but that costs a fair bit as you can imagine.. it's just a matter of how fussy I am

Looks good man, why the ACT plates?
Also do you remove marks that general washing cannot remove? eg my VR has a few black marks that look like a bit of rubber from when I bought it, its very slight but no amount of washing will remove it

because my mate is visiting from the ACT at the moment.

As for your black marks, polishing should get them out

I just got a full detail the other day for 250 on the vn which was a full interior/exterior/engine wash, cut n polish and paint protection. DEFINATELY something that should be done on a commodore before a sports exhaust or other performance mods.. increases and maintains price value and gets more looks than a run down heap of crap.

And i agree with it making the car smoother the difference before and after is amazing

It's true!! I couldn't help but drive along feeling the door, it was the closest I came to ever having sex with my car.

but did you do a cut & polish as well as paint protection?? the paint protection i used cost 130 for the tin alone so really only paid 120 in labour, inlcuding them using their own cleaning products to polish the windows, wash & buff the car etc..

this is how mine came up
