its not so silly my old vp before the current one - had tv screen in top din and dvd playetr in bottom din just cut the plastic away and goes in on a sorta downward angle but it fit
As said, you can fit 2 units in there. With that, if your pretty handy, you can 'move' the buttons to the bottom, and have a double din setup (for screen or whatever)

if ya want cup holders look for the statesman series 3 arm rest - it has cup holders underneath - u have t pull it apart a little to get em out the first time
