    Default Radiator Cap

I am currently trying to the radiator cap off my VP Series 1 Auto, its driving me crazy its a simple thing twist anti clockwise, twist clockwise slightly and then presto off, or so I am lead to believe. It wont come off no matter where on the thread I try and pull it off, any ideas? its currently leaking a large amount of water out of the cap and if I dont get it off I am reasonably screwed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Push down and twist anti-clockwise as far as you can? Should be one "click" to release pressure into the overflow, and second "click" to remove.

Pull really hard? It sounds like it's broken. Just be careful not to break the plastic cap surround.

Perhaps you may have to resort to drilling it out?

    No, that's too risky...

ummm... fiddle with it for AGES

Had to rip the cap off, twisted the sides of the cap till it finally popped off, cap warped and the spring was ****ed. New cap goes on and off fine. Hope this is helpful for someone who has a similar issue
