i imagine you would take them to be re-chromed or whatever it is called. i had some on my merc re-anodized but they were aluminium so i'm not sure what the correct word is for plastic ones.

oh ok....i was under the impression it was a backyard job.....because i had read that the VN ones can be paint stripped and polished with autosol or soemthing....so i was gonna give that a go...
but the little strips on the doors are made of rubber on a VP....soo thats where ive hit the brick wall...

the vn ones are aluminium, and can be stripped with paint stripper and use autosol to polish them up, i did it on my VN came up a treat, with the VP i am not sure if you can do it to the little bit on the window surrounds, maybe hit up the wreakers and get some off a berlina or calais, or you car get a stuffed VP window surround and try it on that, the paint will bubble up and raise then it just scrapes off with a plastic scraper or a rag, make sure you dont get it on your hands it burns lol, good luck.

Just get VN window surrounds and polish them up after stripping the paint off then put them on the VP.

    easy way to polish alloys.
stip the old covoring of the metal.
clean the whole piece very well.
bench grinder with calico polishing wheel, stitched on one side and soft on the other is best.
ally a small amount of autosol to the job then polish on the had side ( will get a dirty looking black smuddge on it) when looking decent switch to the soft side to finish.
Finally wipe of any excess polish.
You will need to wear gloves as it will get HOT as you polish.

The back section wont fit the doors will but its a different style of trim, its really not that hard, just some paint stripper and autosol and away you go.

IM nearly 100% sure you can get the VP calais window surrounds to fit a commy sedan...

The rear 1/4 window needs to be taken out tho and the VP Calais one needs to be put in as its a complete piece with two chrome inserts, where as the VN one is the window and two mould that clip onto it......

Considering that you have a wagone mate you should be able to get the top single piece for both side (brand new from Motor Traders is $80 each) and the front door bottom parts for $44 each from Motor traders....all brand new

    see, thats what i thought.
i thought as a complete set, including 1/4 window, it could be placed in,
its got me stuck where as to buy a new set, or to stick to polishing my exsiting silver peices of poop(N)
