When I turn on the ignition no lights come up on the dash at all and and I have no electrics at all working in any of the ignition positions. Its like the battery is 100% dead but its not.
A multimeter across the battery terminals shows 12.50v.
I can turn the lights on and they are working fine. there is a bright beam so the battery is definately not flat. The battery leads are on tight.
Have checked all fuses and they are fine.
Not sure how to check a relay but i swapped some around and still no go.
This is a V6 VN executive.
What should I do next?
pull your ignition barrel switch off and test it with a screw driver... may have snapped the keyway.
Also, could be relays... unlikely to be both on and acc but still....have you checked all the fuses?
aZk.
I have checked all the fuses and they are fine.
Not sure how to check a relay but since they are all the same I have tried plugging different ones into the more critical slots and still no go.
I took the back of the ignition but not sure how or what to check. I get a 3.3v reading from the positive wire to any of the othe 3 ignition wires. Is this all it should be. Can I try hot wiring it from here?
