The petrol tanks look to be the same size, shouldn't the vn with the V8 have the 80ltr tank? or do some come with the normal V6 sized tank??
some have 80lt some dont it was an option

You can. I think you have to change some of the breather hoses, and decide if you want to run the twin pump setup. But otherwise it should swap right over.

I don't think it was an option either because I've never seen a 5 litre with the small tank but it doesn't mean they all STILL have the big tank1990' was a while ago now

is there a company in vic who make custom fuel tanks, so if you'd like a little bigger then 80ltr? i've been googling on and off over the month but no luck. the old v8 carby cars, didn't some have 120ltrs? or atleast bigger then 80ltrs
65 litres is more than enough, petrol stations are everywhereand anywhere they aren't out in the bush there are warning signs... Next Petrol station 300ks etc

i know haha, i just want the "wank" factor in having a "big tank" hanging down. not that I need to compensate for anything![]()
Of course not, mate
I guess if you were driving interstate through the inland routes at full throttle in the middle of the night when half the servos are shut, and someone stole all your jerrycansThen you'll need it.
Tell people that!![]()

haha yeah true, ok so i've come to the conclusion, that I can get a 90litre long range tank (seems like only a limited holdens came with them optioned?) now I gotta find a holden wreckers
anyone know any ? i live in south bank, melbourne, let me know the closest! (can't be pinch a part, they never have any v8 cars, let alone any decent cars!)
i did see a 5 litre vn at pick a part. it had a drop tank too. vn_luke can confirm this! although i found out later that because the car was on gas, someone had drilled a hole in the tank? WTF

damn i have never seen a 5ltr at pick a part, people just destroy parts, smash windows etc. at pick a part, that's probably why it has a hole in it![]()
Yeah, people don't treat those places with too much respect. If it's in the way, they'll break it to get where they need, and then break more just for fun.
