Howdy,
Just dropped my gf home and noticed a new noise, It seems like a whining sound as I'm driving along, its as i take off cruising along till about 40km, then i don't know if its still there but i don't really notice it after then, when you slow down to about 40km for a corner or to stop and there it is again, With my head out the window seems to be coming from the front of the car,
Any ideas Guys help appreciated ASAP So i can get it fixed before something goes wrong

Hey mate....Try pin pointing the location....test some things....centy made a good list...some of which will "always" make the noise, some that will make the noise whether or not your moving, and others that will only make it while your moving...
But yeah easiest way is to have someone with you, test it in neutral with some revs, then get them to walk beside the car to try find where it's coming from...
maybe the flux capacity needs ajustment....
belt could be streeched or tensioner is lazy, OR p/s pump is putting load on the belt causing it to slip,
Alright its now making the noise at any speed when moving in neutral it makes no differents when you moving,
if you sit in Park revving it it doesn't make the sound, when you slow right down for a corner or a red light, it almost sounds like when you let air out of a balloon, how you hold each side to make it squeal, when the last bit of air comes out, is how it sounds when your pulling up, I'm really worried, i got told it could be the diff,
I was told to pop the seal of the diff and dip my finger in, I did the fluid was like a thick engine oil, But a dark green tinge to it, Is that what its suppost to be like, i have a feeling it may be ****ed as the trans has had a rebuild after Mr idiot doing burnouts, ****ed all the shit inside, But thats all fixed now this is the next problem

Hazza sounds like one of ur pulleys is kaput. Try replacing all the idler pulleys which are fairly cheap, and then work from there if noise persists.
Problem solved, Had people hanging out the window working out were it was coming from. tracked the sound down to front right wheel. Ended up being bearing now greased up enough and was done up to tight. so re greased them properly and had it done up properly and its all good now
