How Do you remove handbrake casing?

Hey im looking at buying a new handbrake casing and boot, but how do you take the casing off?

casing as in handle? it slides off. just pull real hard and twist at the same time.

i dont know if its the same or there is an easier way. but in my vr there is 2 nuts in the bottom of the centre console and the centre console slides back. then you can change the boot.

The handle casing is held on with glue and fairies. Twist to break the fairies, and pull to dislodge the glue.

It can help to hit it with a heat gun first. If you're disposing of it, cutting down the middle could help too
