    Default gearbox problems

i got a 91 vn and i got a bit of a problem, when i start the car up in the morning and the motor is still cold i try to put it into gear but it takes a while to go in especially in reverse. i have to wait for the car to warm up most times before it will go into gear, does this mean that the belts are loose or is the gearbox on its way out. it been getting worse.

People are too obsessed with how much "power" their car makes....it doesn't make power, it produces torque, from which this mythical "power" figure is calculated.

Try giving it a service with some fresh fluid and a new filter.

If the doesn't fix it, it's going to be cheaper to get another box Whereabouts are you located?
