    Default Would a Faulty Lead/s cause the engine light to come on?

    On my VN S the engine light keeps comin on, but when i fiddle with one of the leads (its a bit old and loose) it doesn't ccome on for a while.

    if its the cause i'll replace them]

    It shouldnt cause the engine light to come on.
    If anything it will just misfire cough and splatter.
    Shaking of the engine when it misfires may cause the CAS to play up enabling the egine light.

    no it wont cause it to come on youll just experience a rough idle and decreased engine performance

    one of the leads kept coming off, so i replaced them all. Improved a little but car still stalls occasionally and engine light keeps comin on. anyway did the computer test and got code 42 before the leads were changed so they didn't get rid of the error. not sure wat to do now
