Default Irs rear set up into a wagon?

Anyone know if you can bolt an irs out of a VP Calais into a VP Berlina wagon or how many mods it would take?

Yeah, possible, but not practical. Much like making it 4wd. Possible - not practical.

A old mate of mine swaped VR Caprice for a White VN wagon from QLD it had the original V6 enigine and box but sat on a Hilux chassis and suspension look tough as, that was about 4 years ago he said the original owners paid a heap to get it engineered though.

Could always convert a Stato into a wagon like the one on ebay a while ago if you want an IRS wagon badly

the wagon & vq had the longer rear end so i would imagine that they were different spec to a sedan.... best off to grab a measuring tape and a mate to confirm it.

You are talking about putting irs on an already irs equiped vehicle?? or do you want to cnovert from live axle to irs?? if so good luck

As everybody else has said - anything is possible but it is a ton of work. If you are that keen then pick a better IRS system than the VP Commodore one.

All wagons before the VT are live axle!

VQs, utes and wagons are the same wheel base.
ALL VQs have IRS, all wagons and utes (before VT still) are live axle!

IRS was optional on VP-S, other than Calais and some berlina's that it was standard on.

I've seen a few aswell, chances are a company actually made them, similar to the 1 tonner co that converted sedans to one tonners
