Exclamation VP Cuts out when air con runs

Hi there, firstly I know NOTHING about cars, but i am sick of taking my 92 VP exec to mechanics and getting no result. We bought the car (used obv) last June, it was great when we bought it and then about a month after everything that could go wrong with it fuel-wise has. It has all been replaced, as well as serviced, tuned etc. Ive spent over $1500 trying to get it running like it first did. Initially when we have run the air con there was no worries, however about 2 months back everytime we use the air con, the car starts idoling really bad, and then the car will sort of run really rough for a minute and then totally cut out (only when it is stopped - ie: at traffic lights). I should mention that this also has nothing to do with over-heating. The car then wont start for about 15 minutes, i turn the ignition and it feels as tho theres no fuel and it wont kick over. After awhile it will re-start but just runs and idols really badly for a few days again. We keep getting told nothing is wrong, and i realise the simple solution is to not run the aircon, however we have a little baby and its too hot somedays. It seems to idol rough all the time now, we were told new injectors would fix it but it hasnt. Subsequently im too afraid to drive it because it doesnt feel safe eough to have bubs in.

If any of you 'VP experts' have an idea i would love to hear your thoughts, otherwise i think we may just have to trade it in or something.

    Thanks so much
    Tam

is it literally days or when the motor cools down?? sounds like a crank angle sensor problem to me maybe the a/c is creating additional heat and causing a fault with it (the crank sensor)

Do a test, heat the motor up and switch the a/c on then when the car starts to run rough splash water over the back of the harmonic balance (large most bottom pulley) if it works for a few minutes then you have the culprit.

Does it only do this with the a/c engaged? or on longer drives as well without a/c?

When in doubt chuck the crank sensor out ?. That's would be my first place to start looking too, might not be the problem, but anytime a VN-P is cutting out it's a fair chance
