This is the original 1988 VN Commodore mem-cal, introduced with the very first VN's on the market. It was quickly replaced by later-1988 APNX mem-cal, apparantly (according to one source) due to backfires.
Can someone supply me with a spark map shot/copy of AFTX? I don't have a program anymore that can view the configs of chips.
Also, can someone supply me with a spark map of the factory LPG chip BBMM? I want to compare it with some so-called aftermarket performance LPG chips.

There is no such thing as a aftermarket lpg tune for the V6 that I've seen, There's very little difference between the ideal spark timing for premium fuel and for lpg so that would be pretty much a waste of time. BBMM just has a normal series 2/VP spark map as below

AFTX basically was found in September 1988 complianced VNs however some VNs (e.g. ones not sold already) had APNX installed as a service fix.
Yes that's the spark map from BBMM, AFTX is rare but not impossibly so, I've rubbed over quite a few over the years:P

complete aftx bin
Just saw two eproms from these laying in my pile of removed junk eproms that I've pulled to make VR/S memcals lately so they can't be as rare as I though't, wouldnt be suprised if I've rubbed over 20-50 of these![]()
Compared with any other VN mem-cal they are very rare. They only existed for a bit over one month and even then, some of these were swapped for APNX in October.
Only about 10-15 thousand of them existed - not taking into account ones swapped out for APNX and ones not making their way into a production car.
Perhaps many more very early VN Commodores were actually sold over there.
Why do you want them if there obsolete and caused problems?? if its the performance factor then ask greenfoam to make you a real tune.
hey greenfoam what do you do with your junk eproms as you call them ive got an eraser and would be keen on getting some old eproms
