i have a bit of a problem that i wish 2 fix but not sure how 4 fix it.
The problem is wen i turn my low beams on and then push the driving lights button on the low beams cut out but seems 2 b all working wen i turn the highs on. I know thats not how its suppose 2 b cause its not like that with my m8s vn ss.

sounds normal. i thought theyre supposed to cut out the low beams, leaving just the parkers on with the driving lights

Sounds like how they ought to be for FOG LAMPS. No, they dont have to be yellow to be fog lamps. Theory being that if conditions are foggy you dont want your low beam headlights bouncing back in your face blinding you. Why are they operable with high beam, I suppose so that you can light up the road with as much light as possible.

If they were driving lamps(the definition of which is to compliment high beam), they would only be operable when high beam is selected.
Apparently later models allow the low beam and fog lights to be operated simultaneously, there are occasions where the use of both may be warranted.

Whether you believe them to be fog lamps or driving lamps, please dont use them when driving towards oncoming traffic, or behind other vehicles.

    Pft, they're driving lights.

When you're driving you have them on. So they MUST be driving lights.

normaly when you drive with the lights on, they should only work with the parkers, and cut out with low beam lights.

I agree with Stocky, there is a great misunderstanding of the terms fog lamps, driving lamps, low beam headlights and daytime running lamps out there, many thinking that their fog lamps are legal daytime running lamps, no they are not.

this thread isnt about fog lights/driving lights, there is no need to turn this into a legal debate which is clearly what your original debate was about.

should a member wish to discus or debate the legalitys of a term, im sure they will have a topic like this.

hey, what do i have, driving lights or fog lights?

but seeing this is about a different topic then hey, i fail to see why you even bothered replying in the first place.

I find it funny my post was deleted, yet it actually gave an answer to the question.

The fact I called someone a 'name' (albeit accurate) got my post deleted, and the off topic dribble stays! How many threads can one derail before action is taken?
