it will be defectable unless its an adr aproved wheel. the brands that do them are momo, isotta and some saas wheels (i think thats the brand name)

problem will be if it has a padded centre or not, and also diameter. theyre the basic problems anyway

VN's need an ADR approved wheel and a wood grain with no padding wont pass. You can use them on older cars no problem, not sure what date the laws on wheels started but mabe 86' or something like that. But the last thing you need is your skull cracked open so it's best to have a safe wheel anyway

I bought my VP with a sports wheel with a metal centre in it, I was very uncomfortable driving it like that so it was one of the very first things I removed. It now has a VP SS wheel, much nicer, better and safer. I don't mind if my cars technically illegal but I need it to be safe

Keep your car(s) legal and you won't have a worry in the world regarding defects, insurance, accident injury etc.
