    Default injectors

hi i have a vn s2 commodore got some new injectors put them in and the car runs nice went for a drive all good. Got home turned the car of for about hour then had to go out again. This time it took ages for the car to start and when it did it blow black smoke out like it was flooded. change back to the old injectors and i have no problems with it starting (this only happens when the motor is warm)

Are the injectors you put in exactly the same? If they are bigger flowing injectors they will cause your car to run very rich

Depends on the duty cycle of the injectors i think....the ones you put in might be open longer or larger for the same amount of voltage as the originals hence the running rich....dr bob or greenfoam could redo your memcal to suit the new injectors

not sure about the hard start part but if its running rich then that might be a cause for it

They should be fine those injectors. They flow only slightly less than originals (if not the same) shouldnt have any dramas with it overfueling. Got a picture by any chance because i dont think those are out of a vt

You might have problems with the car surging on deceleration with those most people do. If its hard to start one or two or all of them must be leaking

They don't look anything my VT V6 injectors did - they were a green/aqua colour.

They're the older style injectors vt run the newer thinner EV6 type injector. They should be fine but as geenfoam said they may be leaking if they were new from autobahn take them them bacj and get the ones to match your partno

They look almost gray in pic

    Newby here pls be gentle

I am after a set of 6 VP injectors, preferably new. These are the 0280150960 black top type. Could anyone point me in a direction to an affordable supplier please who may possibly have stock? I tried a few Bosch suppliers, Autobarn, autoPro etc, but seems like these things are quite scarce - I would have thought with the number of these V6 vehicles out there that you would be able to pick these injectors up even in Woollies
