handbrake light stays on

my seems to stay on sometimes goes off then on agian does this mean i have to adjust the cable or is there a short somewhere can some 1 help me

check inside the hand brake there should be a switch in there its either shagged or jammed just follow the yellow wire

Yeah, switch is probably jammed. 5min work to get at it, 2min to fix whatever the issue is

i remember this crap on my old mans OLD vn i had to like push the hand brake button then pull it towards me then bring it down? for the light to turn off, seems weird but that was the only way for it to turn off
