    Default Genie Cop Extractors

G'day everyone, I scored these off an unmarked ex police car at the wreckers.Police Comp plates still attached & the FE2 susp, dash etc.It was all complete just badly hit on the front drivers side.Susp tower was pushed over so it was a miracle we got them off at all without removing anything. They have a "D" stamped on the them.Son tells me they're police markings..
As per usual wif the wreckers they snip off the cat so i'll need sum welding done on the Y pipe.I have a query thou, they came off a VR-VS auto, but i wanna put them on my Ser1 VN 5spd.My VN atm has sum bizarre looking sandwhich pipe running under the bell housing whereas this Y pipe is round. Is it gunna fit or am i gunna have a hissy fit trying to find out..??My Son's Ser1 auto doesn't have this strange pipe on.Is it just a manual thing to clear the housing ??& possibly therefore this Y pipe is no good 4 me.Anyone come across this b4..??
Searched the site but i can't find anything helpful..

they look like the average set of extractors to me just trail fit everything and check the clearance of the rack and block

i know they'll fit on, it's just the clearance issues under the bell housing i have concerns with.I'm thinking there would possibly be a diffrent Y pipe to run 4 a manual 2 an auto..that's all

Your car being a manual and these extractors being off an auto will most likely not fit and the extractors dont have the clearances for the bell housing.

You'll need to get manual extractors to fit yours, but as peanuts said, they look like an average set

you can buy the y piece from genie still too, they are about $80 which will fix your problem of them hitting and the wreckers cutting into it

I have manual extractors on my auto and it's still a tight fit, so probably no tolerance there. Check the mating surfaces, make sure they're square before fitting too, changes are they'll need a very good milling.
