not sure why you need new lines but you just do lol, i got braided lines for a bit extra and im glad i did it.

just a warning, the brakes will work better than the crap vn/vp brakes but they will be spongy even with the 1 inch master so look into changing over to a vt master/booster setup.

you will need brake line adapters for the master cylinder cos your metal lines wont bolt up to the vt master (i paid $30)

VT booster and master cylinder into a VN

read that and you will get the jist of it

im getting a price tomorrow on the hub adapters, but i think i can do it cheaper then buying the kit, so far its costing me
    vt brakes $80 pair
    rotors $120 pair
    pads $30-60

lines shouldnt be that expensive and im going to fit it all myself , so i think i can do it alot cheaper then what the kit is worth

You will need to get new brake lines. The ones off the vt calipers will fit in with your steel line but on full lock it kinks the line and the vr's dont work on the calipers. Any local reputable brake shop that makes lines will be able to make you an adaptor Vr-Vt caliper line set. Mine cost $90 for braided in the colour of my choice.

Rather than use the hub adaptors would it be possible to fit vs front struts in a vn by using the vs lower control arms and the vn top strut plate???

not sure but i am hoping so to.
I have vr struts and arms here for that job with vy calipers.
So i will be watching with interest.
apparently you will need adaptor rings as the vt hub is larger in the centre and won't locate properly, they are about $30 on ebay.

No. The front track on the VR-VS is wider than the VP. You will need longer brake lines - spend the extra and get good quality braided. The pedal feel is much better. The hubs are readily available and an easy conversion, once again go for quality and avoid the cheap chineese crap unless you live a long way from Melbourne.

interesting, just done some research on the track width.
vn/vp narrrow front and wide rear, irs a bit wider
vr/vs wider ate front and rear, except vr/vs ute and wagon same at back as vn/vp.
    This is worth pursuing further.
If the strut top centres are the same then a swap may be do able.
