    Default Cleaning IAC Valve

I was just wondering, would it be fine to use WD-40 to clean the IAC valve?

Dad doesn't really wanna go and buy a can of carby cleaner for only a 10 second use.

I doubt WD-40 would have the cleaning ability of carby cleaner, and the good thing about carby cleaner is that it evaporates quickly unlike WD-40.

It's like $5 a can, and it comes in handy all the time for cleaning various engine parts. You can use it on the throttle body, PCV valve, IAC, to name just a few. Unless you're really pinching your pennies I'd just buy it
