hi guys
my dad has blown up the motor in his vn but found a vp with a rebuilt v6 motor.
Both motors have been pulled out and the loom looks about 95% the same. However, we have found that where the loom plugs into ECU in cabin, a little bit further up along the loom there is a 9pin plug and the vn v6 loom plug is different to the vp v6 loom plug.
Any suggestions on what that connector does and how to get around this issue.
Thanks in advance
Andrew
just leave the vn loom in the car and extend the coolant temp sensor wires to the front of the engine where the sensor is on the vp engine apart from that everything should fit.and get a vp memcal to go in the ecu plugs straight in.
I tune the oldschool way fear on the passengers face and knuckle colour cant go wrong

on the end are 2 big plugs for the ecm then a little further up is the aldl connector which is only used to check for faults.
take pics is the best way.
you will need a vp chip to or it won't go properly.
If you need a VP chip how come a VN chip goes better in a vp because its a slightly aggressive tune?

the vn tune is totally different than vp and causes increased fuel usage when run in vp and they dont go that great with them either they do increase wot power but the rest of the tune is so far off you just waste gas.for vp ide suggest BAAM0265 memcal.

don't worry mate mate when they atart on about unicorns and dragons, then you knowwho's comments to NOT to read next times as they have NO CLUE.
Perhaps if your runs better without a vp tune then it has allready been chipped.
This person has asked a serious question and you guys are speaking BS, please keep that for the FORD forums, you know you are closet ford drivers.
