my vp berlina v6 decided to overheat and drain all the fluid in the radiator today whilst i was driving home(not hooning at all just cruising)
i stopped and popped the bonnet and saw the coolant covering the engine bay so walked down to the servo and bought water and filled it up drove again for five minutes had to stop three times cos of overheating and eventually towed the car home.
now the problem is the hose that runs of the water pump sorta s shaped i supposed has disconnected itself from the block and where its fitted to the block is this little black plastic bit which itself is fitted to the block the racv dude said to change this and the back one.
does anyone kno what the part is called and where i can buy it from and home to change both the front and back one
any help and opinions are greatly appreciated
oh there was a threa don these things a while back about metal ones i think maybe try doing a search
