Rebuilding Series 1

Just about to rebuild my series 1 vn motor. Just wondering if anybody has any bright ideas on things to remove or replace to improve performance or reliability.

cam, pistons, heads, bore the shit out of it

Make sure you get a VRS gasket kit. Has valve guide rubbers and stuff in there. Plus a vrs kit will let you do alot of other gaskets and seals (manifold gaskets, exhaust gaskets...etc). Ive just finished doing a top end rebuild i put in new valve guides and some heavy duty valve springs. If you want a set of crow cam double springs let me know ill sell em to ya cheap.
